Field Trips: 
Every year thousands of school and daycare children enjoy field trips at Cedar Hill Farm. Our field trips are filled with activities that center around farm education. Children learn about agriculture by getting to experience it first hand, whether it's picking their very own pumpkin out of our pumpkin patch in the fall, or planting a seed and taking it back to school with them to watch it grow in the spring. They get to pet and feed numerous farm animals under clean conditions in our petting zoo. They also get to experience a tractor drawn hayride around the farm. They can ride a pony and play on the hay fort. Our old barn, now the Education Station, is filled with farm facts and neat hands on activities that children can use to learn about agriculture including a honey bee observatory and an animated "Chicken Show". We have nice clean restroom facilities and peacful picnic areas where classes can enjoy an outdoor lunch. So bring your class out to Cedar Hill Farm where memories last a lifetime.
Teachers and Paid Classroom Assistants are free. All Chaparones/Parents must pay admission. Siblings must be counted in with and pay the same as the students(Under 2 Free). All adults including teachers are welcome to order a "Farm Lunch" along with the students if they want, but other food options are available in the Country Kitchen. (See the Country Kitchen page for a list of all the food available.) You are also welcome to bring in your own food and drinks. Three Hours is the average time needed to complete all the activities including eating lunch on one of our field trips. If you feel you may not have this much time, you can leave off some of the activities in order to cut out time. In order to ensure that you get the date that you want please call at the begining of each semester. Also, if you want to avoid the crowds book at the begining of the week instead of the end and also book further away from major holidays ex. Halloween and Good Friday. We are working hard to ensure that field trips at Cedar Hill Farm are as educational and fun as they can be. We are making improvements to facilities and reworking our scheduling every season to make your field trip more enjoyable. Any suggestions or comments are much appreciated.
